Apple iPod touch 32 GB (3rd Generation) NEWEST MODEL

First of all, I love this product. I'll explain why it didn't get 5 stars further down.

Music Player-
This thing is an amazing mp3 player. The interface to browse music is fluid and works perfectly. Never once has the touch interface become cumbersome, as I feared. To the contrary, it speeds things up a LOT.
Sound quality is totally identical to that of my Pc's brand name sound card, and I use decent headphones.

Included Earbuds-
Very decent. Better than any other earbuds I've used.

The Screen-
The screen on this is bright and beautiful to the max, with a fast reacting responce time, so video and coverflow run at very nice frames per second. The only downside is that the screen is a fingerprint magnet. And on a device that's only form of input is touching the screen, that's a real problem. Screen protectors are a solution, but make sure you get decent ones. I first got cheap ones and they attracted prints just as much as the screen.

The Body-
The body is certainly stylish, but feels VERY delicate. I was afraid to even walk around with the thing until I got a decent case. (I'd recommend Otterbox for it's great quality.) The back is also very susceptible to prints, so once again, I'd suggest ordering a decent case along with the touch.

Video-
It's a little picky about what types of video you can play (no wmvs of course, but also no mp4s, no avi). But when you get one playing the quality is brilliant. Smooth and the colors are as vibrant as possible, when brightness isn't set low (but keep in mind, this drains the battery quicker).

Included Apps-
The Youtube app is great, but limited. The video quality is always 360p, understandably, but the interface can be confusing. Also, features such as playlists, annotations, and even channel pages are mostly out.
The Web Browser works fine. I barely ever use it though. Many major websites have free apps that make getting to their stuff easier.
There's a calculator too. It calculates things. :)

App Store-
There's an app for everything! Go nuts!
Seriously, the app store is great. Apps can be downloaded instantly anywhere with a connection, straight onto the ipod. It's quick and very easy.

Itunes Interface-
The required pc software is of course Itunes. I run Windows Vista, and the program runs great. It syncs the ipod every time you connect it, and it's very easy to customize tons of options. Don't be scared off if your'e a windows user. Music players are what Apple's good at!

Touch Interface-
Works PERFECTLY. Very seriously, they couldn't have done it better. Even on small keyboards, you can get used to typing long messages without screwing up.

Overall-
A great little multimedia device. Get a case and some screen protectors along with this purchase and you are good to go!

The iPod touch is a really good product. It's everything I expected and more. Some of the apps are really great, and I have had no problems running any of them, just remember to check that it is made for the iPod touch (oh, and if the app uses GPS, it will only work properly with the iPhone, even if the description says it will work on the iPod. The software will run fine, it just won't be able to find your location because the iPod doesn't have a gps chip.)
I was concerned about the shipping because, even though the product got to me in record time with no damage, there was no packing list or invoice in the box. Also, there was only one packing bubble thing in the box, so the product was rattling around more than I would expect. Again, all's well that ends well, but the potential for disaster was there.

It is light, quick, compact and does all the applications I want. Great in Wi-Fi connections and very easy to use

It packs a lot of stuff in small space. Hate not being able to organize my files by folders. Music quality is low. But the worst is when I tried to use with with my desktop iTunes, instead of the laptop, where I officially "connected" it. iTunes told me that I can only use it with the iTunes where I initially set it up. This is not a technical shortfall. This is ugly deliberate Apple choice, but then the last 20 years prove how Apple treats customers. What if my laptop crushes or gets stolen? How would I ever use it again? Do they care?

Saved some money on a refurbished iPod which works perfectly and came with a free Otterbox Defender case as a bonus! Great product for fun & work and a good deal!
