Cisco-Linksys WRT160N-RM Refurbished Wireless-N Router

I'm writing this simple review just to warm people from buying total junk like this router. I bought mine new a little over a year ago, and it's been hell using it since. I finally got so fed up with it today, I smashed it! SAVE YOUR MONEY! I've never had so many problems with a wireless router/network.

I've used Linksys routers in the past and had great results... like when wireless G signal was the new, new thing. But I've had it with this product and it'll be a hard sell to reconvert me back to Linksys and trust their products ever again. I tried everything I could, but nothing but nightmares. I'm just glad it's over. I think I may go and stomp all over the piece of junk to celebrate.

If I absolutely have to, I will resort to an older Linksys wireless G router like one reviewer mentioned, but I'm going to do my best to look for ANY other company first.

In short:
-Everyday problems of gaining and maintaining a signal with Windows Vista and Windows 7 based PCs, and a Mac
-Just about every time another device picked up the signal to the network, everything would go down
-Hardwired in did nothing to help

This kind of product and these kinds of results really disgust me, especially when I can't receive a refund! Talk about false-advertising....

Good Luck with the JUNK produced by a company that could only be run by SCUM to allow this kind of thing to hit the market.

Cisco-Linksys WRT160N-RM Refurbished Wireless-N Router I have nothing bad to say about this product. It was very easy to install and it has exceptional range for my laptop. The speed is of high quality even at the longer ranges. The only time I have yet to lose a connection was due to my home service not the router.

I spent 1 hrs to setup this wireless router via its installation software, and still could not connect to the internet. After checked everything from my cable to computer, I found this router dose not stay with my cable modem well.. In order to make it work, I need to shut down the cable modem first, then connect the router to the cable modem..I don't know which part went wrong but this is something you can't figure out just by reading its manual.
once figure out the installation problem, the connection is quite stable and fast.

This is a wonderful wireless router. I know it's refurbished, but it looked brand new and was shiny and sleek looking right out of the box. The router was fairly easy to set up and it works just as I expected it too. The security is also excellent (wpa2). I am very satisfied with this router and it was only 30 dollars. It works great for my dorm room.

I had been testing this router for over one month and I dont have any complaints.
Haven't try yet the [...] firmware but according to other comments it could increase the performance.

This is a good option for home router, you will not find similar produts at this price.
