QuickBooks 2010 for Mac

it is a pain in the neck to get started and use.my accountant sent me a disk to install,followed intuits instructions and it would not install, made many attempts, called intuit and found out if you need tech support they will only help you for a fee,a 79.95 each time you call or a fee over $300.00 a year for unlimited use. what a rip off.

After reading some mediocre reviews--and after trying the previous Mac version--I am hoping this is the one for me. After a couple of months of use, everything seems to work well for my basic accounting needs. The app is stable and my entries appear as they should. While perhaps not the robust app that the PC version is, the tradeoff of being able to remain in my Mac environment is awesome. My needs are fairly simple: enter and pay bills; enter and receive payments; invoicing and basic reporting. I no longer have to fire up my doggie ThinkPad running Vista and wait to run my business!!

Easy to convert the data to Mac - and back again if necessary. I like it. Faster to load than on the PC

The product is good, but I had to return the product to the Amazon merchant, who was very professional in the handling of the return, because Intuit would not authorize the license. They have really cracked down on product meant to be sold in stores that later ends up for sale on the internet.

I ended up going to Best Buy and buying it on sale for about the same price as the on-line purchase.

So, buyer be ware!

Don't get quickbooks for Mac unless you never ever plan to exchange files with an accountant or anyone else. You should also be willing to buy a new version whenever you upgrade your operating system. Which still may be the wrong version. Saying it has "compatibility issues" is a gross understatement. Trying to figure out what version is compatible with what is a Kafkaesque nightmare.
