I bought this system because I was fed up with disgusting bits of kitty litter turning up all over my house -- on my pillow, in the sink, on the couch, YUCK! And sticking to my feet no matter how many times I swept up. ICK! Yes, the Breeze litter system is more expensive than clay litter. But it's worth it to me to not find kitty litter in every nook and cranny of my home. I put 1.5 bags of pellets in each litter box and change them once a month. They say 1 bag for each, but I think 1.5 does a better job of covering the box and the cats like to scratch in it.
Is it more sanitary? Probably not. After all, the cats are still walking everywhere after they've been in the litter box. It's just less visually disgusting.
Does it smell better? Yes! The pads soak up the urine and do a good job containing the ammonia smell. Unless they get too soaked. Then it's super nasty ammonia smelling. But really that's up to you to keep them changed. I go through 4 pads a week for 3 cats. The feces, on the other hand, isn't fun. The litter system isn't designed to coat poo in a de-stinkifying coat of clay to neutralize it like regular litter. So you've got to stay on top of the poo. Like dog owners do, I just put a plastic grocery bag on my hand like a mitten and pick up the poo and twist the bag shut. So if you have a cat with especially frequent, liquid or disgusting poos, Breeze might not be for you. But my 3 cats are middle aged and tidy and not that smelly in general, so once a day cleaning out the poo is usually good.
Bottom line, yeah the poo is a little grosser and yeah it costs more, but you couldn't pay me to switch back to clay litter. I'm totally sold, especially with Amazon saving me time and money on subscribe and save.

Amazon delivers the pellets and pads to my door automatically for cheaper than I can get them at the pet store or discount stores. Like clockwork, Amazon has them on my doorstep, saving me time and money. I have 2 systems for 3 cats and go through a case of pellets (6 bags) once every 2 months. The pads last me about 2.5 months, so every couple of shipping cycles I skip the pads.

easy to use
This is a great system! The litter doesn't track or release dust, the pads hold lots of liquid, and it is really easy to scoop solid poop out. My cat likes to pee only in the back of the box, so after a few days I have to rotate the pad, then after a few more days I replace it. I highly recommend this system, it is so quick and easy to use! 2010-07-29

I like this enough to hope it doesn't disappear
I've got two cats and have been looking for the best solution for many years. I hated scoopable because it rarely really clumped well enough to scoop cleanly, and the fine grains would be tracked all over the house (like walking in a disgusting beach vacation house). So I used another brand's regular litter as it absorbed odor very well, but still had tracking to contend with (at least they were bigger and easier to sweep up, but still disgusting to find on the sofa). I noticed this system as a "new product" at Walmart so I came home and looked it up online to see if really worked. The majority of reviews were favorable, so I decided to try it and I'm very happy I did! The cats adapted to it immediately (I put a little poop from the old box to help them know they were in the right place). It's very easy to keep scooped, the pads work very well (I change mine for the two cats about every 5 days, checking it every other day when I scoop to see how it's going) and the odor is minimal - just a bit right after they poop, which as another reviewer pointed out is the same for humans and is about the same as my old litter (my cats have never been big on totally burying their poop, so this helps with scooping). It might be a bit pricier than buying regular litter, but I also used liner bags to make cat box changing easier, and now I don't need those either, so it evens out. I also will be going on the Amazon subscription program, and that will save even more (and no more lugging 20 lbs. of litter from the grocery store!) I just wish Tidy Cat would do some advertising on this product, because the reviews are overwhelmingly good for those of us who stumbled onto the system, and I'd hate to see the product disappear. I plan on getting a system each for my grown son and daughter as presents for their cats as I think they'll really appreciate it, too. 2010-07-26

Great Product!!!
I was looking for an easier way to deal with the litter box because we have three cats. I was so tired of lugging 40# bags of litter around. This system ended all that and now my back doesn't hurt when dealing with the cat boxes. The only down side is that the pellets are still get tracked a bit, so you still will have to sweep up. Overall, I do love this litter box system though and it is easier to deal with rather than using the clumping cat litter. 2010-07-26

Breeze Pellets Make Litter Box Maintenance ... A Breeze!
No more litter in every nook and cranny! I have five cats and two Breeze systems. The Breeze system has cut my litter box maintenance routine about 75%. My only problem is that my puppy thinks the pellets are crunchy treats! I'm hoping his taste becomes more sophisticated soon. Meanwhile, I spritz bitter tasting spray on the box every now and then. 2010-07-24
