Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 9.7" Display, White, 3G Works Globally – 2nd Generation

I love my Kindle DX Wireless! As I have a difficult time reading regular size print, I really appreciate the ability to enlarge the type size to accomodate my reading. If one's eye's become tired I am also able to hear the book read. All of the books unfortunetly are not available in speach but there are enough to keep one interested. The 9" size makes it especially comfortable to use the large print size, tho it would be nicer if it were a bit
lighter in wieght. However it's not enough to keep me from carrying it everywhere we go. The price is high as I am a senior citizen on a fixed income but it is very much worth the sacrifice. Food or the Kindle? I'll take the Kindle, it may improve my waistline plus having a great time! Thanks Amazon! Sincerely, Carol M.

I've actually returned this item and went for the smaller version which is to arrive tomorrow. Within a few minutes of holding the kindle dx my wrists were actually hurting. It just was a little too large to make it worthwile for me. Part of the benefit of buying a kindle was its compact size and I just don't believe that the DX contributes to that convenience. It wouldn't fit easily into a purse. I look forward to receiving my kindle and get to reading, whether at the doctors or waiting in the school parking lot to pick up my baby.

The kindle is just awesome!! Only issue is that non-US customers have to wait very long for new releases...

What a fantastic device. So easy to use and read files on. I've used Kindle Store, bought ebooks and PDF files all worked without a hitch. I have no problems reading my work-related technical documents either. No hesitations in recommending this if you find it to be a problem reading electronic documents on PC or don't wish to carry a dead tree around with you.

Love it! Great screen...read one book already. No strain on the eyes...still learning all the stuff u can do with it.
