Apple iPod touch 8 GB (3rd Generation) NEWEST MODEL

First off let me say, I am not an Apple fanperson. Never have been, never will be. The iPod touch is my first iPod device ever. I cannot say that I am in love with it, but I will definitely say that it is has proven nifty in more ways than one since I got it.

Ok, let's get this out of the way: Video and Music. Videos are clear and smooth. You can use the built-in Wi-Fi on your home or office network to browse the web and YouTube directly. That itself is pretty smooth. You can also purchase music directly from the iTunes store over Wi-Fi and load them directly to the phone. Overall I'd say this is pretty similar to the experience I have on my Palm Pre.

One thing the iPod Touch has over my Pre, however, is the huge amount of applications available for it. I've been able to download apps for many things: Math Quizzes for my children, Duke Nukem 3D for my husband, oh, and also for toting around and viewing work related documents.

Another feature of the iPod Touch is that you can use iTunes to sync with your calendar. The iPod will already check your e-mail automatically for you whenever it detects an available Wi-Fi network. The ability to sync your calendar can be pretty useful, but I still prefer the automatic sync that my Palm Pre offers.

Over all I rate this device as 4 stars. If it was billed as only a game, music, and video device I'd probably have given it 5 stars. But with all the hype I was really hoping for something more useful for business use.

Apple always send out the best products, there is almost no doubt about this. This applies to all it's products, including this iPod touch third generation. It's sleek design makes for an excellent gift for all ages, or just to reward yourself. The only lamentation I have is the lack of customization; I'm currently waiting to hack mine to customize many aspects of the product. This is the only complaint I have and it is easily fixable if it is your complaint as well. Considering this, 5/5 stars for the iPod touch!

This Ipod model is by far my favorite one yet. Not only does it contain all the programs and storage that you would ever need out of an MP3 player, but it is stylish and very easy to move around with. EXCELLENT! Definitely recommend.

I love this gadget. I received it for Christmas from my wife. I had been looking for a simple MP3 player that I could plug in anywhere and this is it. But, it didn't stop there. The available apps are astounding in the i-tunes store and many are free.

So, I ordered an iPod touch 64gb 5 days ago. I am an eagerly waiting teenager, so every day is horrible to come home and not see it on the porch. Today I checked the tracking information and it has yet to leave the amazon warehouse. This is very poor effort on their part. Yes, I chose to have FREE shipping. Yes I understand that it will take longer. But seriously, 5 days?? Walmart, which charges 1 dollar more overall, guarantees it will be at your doorstep in 4 days. They send it out immediately, and yes, their shipping is free too. Amazon has started to fall since internet shopping has become competitive. Amazon needs to get their act together and catch up with the fast moving pace of the world. By the way the 64gb iPod touch is amazing, I am still waiting for my one to come in from amazon, but my one from Walmart has already come it. Amazon will be getting a return very soon.
